Pedal the Rails on the South Coast

Reservations are open to pedal the rails in Coquille, on trips with Joy Rails (formerly the Oregon Coast Railriders) beginning May 23, 2024. The wildflowers put on quite a show from June to August and fresh country air is always a treat along the “iron ribbon.” View the scenic Coquille valley from the rails, see a plywood mill in action as you pedal past, and get a peek into the Coquille Valley Wildlife Refuge.
Joy Rails is located at Sturdivant Park in Coquille, about 20 minutes drive from either Bandon or Coos Bay. Travel the OLD coast highway now known as Hwy 42 and 42S.

Tours with Joy Rails are available Thursday to Monday, with departures at 9 a.m., noon, and 3 p.m. Arrive 20 minutes early, bring water, and dress for the weather. Open rain or shine. Rail carts carry up to four guests. Bring family, a social group, or just yourself. The tours are also great for team-building or group trips. Either way, participants are rewarded with smiles and memories.

Trips are available from May 23 to September 16, 2024. Prices per person are $40. Book online or call and leave a message (541-786-8205).
