Gold Beach's annual Fourth of July Party at the Port promises great food, lots of games, two bands, fireworks, and fun. The party starts on Friday, July 4, at 3 p.m. and goes until 11 p.m. at the Port of Gold Beach.
The event begins with a salute to the flag, veterans, and local elected officials. Then the fun commences with a variety of family-style entertainment ranging from a kids bull ride to the always popular celebrity dunk tank. Almost a dozen games and activities are planned for young and old alike.
The food court tempts taste buds with plenty of delicious delights, such as Cutter & Company Barbecue, the Moose Lodge's famous elephant ears, All-American hot dogs, and more. And all day long the music keeps your toes a-tapping right up to when the fireworks begin. Admission is free, as is the parking. (541-247-0923; www.goldbeachchamber.com)
