The Real
Oregon Coast
With its jutting lines, sweeping curves,
pounding waves, and ever-changing lighting,
the Oregon Coast draws photographers to its shores. Oregon Sea Grant (a marine
research and education program at Oregon
State University) and Oregon Coast joined together to invite amateur and professional
photo hounds to submit their best work, spotlighting the dynamic, vivid, changing
nature of the coast.
The contest was open to professional,
amateur, and junior photographers. We
present here the winners in three categories:
The Natural World, The Coast in Transition,
and Coastal People & Communities of
Interest. Winning and honorable mention
photos will also be exhibited in the Visitor
